Congrats on the feat.
Certainly hitting his straps now as a 3yo, and although speed ratings are not huge, winning well enough to suggest he does have a 100+ rating in him.
Either stick with stakes racing and continue to step up in distance, maybe try 10.5 or 11 furlongs or you could try allowance at up to 12 furls, just to see how long he can get in the lower levels.
Others will come with different ideas and ultimately it will be your decision, and so far you are doing a fine job without others input, follow your gut mate.
Some may suggest trying a graded event at around 10 furlongs and that might not be too bad on an idea ... I tend to be a tad more cautious with my better ones, maybe to my own detriment.
Good luck with Golden July whatever route you take.

Congrats!
I like to take the more aggressive route. I would stretch him out to 10 furlongs to get your first graded stakes win. Usually this time of year the competition is not as stiff over longer distances. There are a bunch of a couple of graded races in the next 4 to 6 weeks. Looking at the current entries and your gelding fits. Good luck on whatever you decide.

So proud of you Finlay. I told you you'd get your first stakes winner before me and you most certainly did. Well earned indeed.

Thank you and I can wager with great confidence that yours is soon coming. Very soon in fact. Cant wait for Sextant next out lol. You are a better and smarter Derbyfever player than I will ever be. We are thoroughly enjoying the experience.

Keep doing what you are doing!
Found his niche around 9-10 furlongs, so keep him there and see what graded fields he can make.
Wear and tear kicks in sooner when racing in the higher levels (so they say), so space the races well enough and you will enjoy his successes for a bit longer.
Well done to date though Finlay, we'll be posting asking you for advice from now on!

Thank you Rharfo, you and others here have been helpful from the start. Tough game requiring every bit of patience. Glad my two horses Aussie June Chill and Golden July have added to stakes win for the All Star Racing Residences.
