for my 2yo ASR-bred prize horse. Nice jump in SP. Now I just have to figure out what's next for him. Six races already this year. Hmm, another race this year or put him on the shelf until next year. What would YOU do? Kit Kat Cat

Seems he really appreciated the bit of extra distance which bodes well for his future. As far as the next step goes, I'm an avid believer of striking while the iron is hot - and yours is blazing hot right now. I'd be looking for an 8.5f stakes race in 5 to 6 weeks. If he wins that then on to a graded race after.
Best of luck with him - he's awesome!

Stunning colt, gotta love ASR prize horses aye?
Well managed to date and has now found his liking for a bit of distance and proved it with a solid 96sp#, nice!
If mine, yep, I'd have a late stakes effort with him before the year was out, even if in mid November and he performs well, maybe a late 2020 graded tilt or hold off til the New Year .... you will likely be spoiled for choice.
By waiting, you would hate to miss out on a possible Derby tilt due to being kept out by a hot early 2020 2yo that has garnered enough points to keep a real contender from the fields, whether lock events or over stakes points winning events ... that is if the Derby trail is your target.
So, I am on the same line of thought as Tiz, he has the speed to grab a few stakes points before the New Year, so maybe a stakes tilt to end the year and perhaps secure in your mind, he might be Derby worthy.
All the best with him.

Speaking of nice runs and ASR stars of the future, last week's home page had Selurnivek's AMERICAN CHORUS, headlining our graded winners list after winning the GI North Fork Stakes, super impressive come from the rear effort and looks like a real Derby contender. derbyfever.com/onehorse_inline.asp?horse=12100010221Amazing speed and now looks certain to come into his own. Certainly hope I haven't put the mockers on his promising 3yo career, but is one of the many in our ranks deserving of our admiration. All the best with him Kevin!

Nice one Forego... prize horses at this residency are amazing! I would throw him in a stakes at the furthest distance possible. Get him that stakes win. My Tapit's usually take a little while to progress, it is a major positive to see big numbers as a 2yo.
Thank you for the kind words Rharfo. American Chorus has been crying out for two turns and finally got it. You will see him next representing us in the BB Juvenile.

Well, he came up a bit short in his stakes debut. Not a bad race overall though. Will give him a short break and try again towards the end of January. Kit Kat Cat

His 3yo career will most likely be the best of his career which u don’t see very often from a Tapit foal , goodluck
